300k Gold in 30 Days, from Scratch

Insane?

It’s the Gold Speed Run.

Check it out here

Apart from being a killer game concept, Jon Kenins (creator of the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint) tells me that the Gold Speed Run is also the fastest way to make extreme amounts of gold. And he’s got the proof to back it up.

What’s a Gold Speed Run? Hop onto a brand new server. No friends, no guilds, no gold buying, no transfers, start from zero. Create as many alts as you like. Amass as much gold as you can in 30 days.

He organized a Gold Speed Run for his exclusive insiders’ gold-making club in March this year, and the results were amazing:

  • 2.8 Million Gold earned in 30 days, starting from zero
  • top gold earner alone brought in 359,313 gold
  • average gold earned by all challengers: 63,901 gold – this needs more explanation: 11 people broke 100k gold, 40 broke 1k. How do you think you would do?

Keep in mind that he’s talking about doing all this with level 1 toons, and starting on a new server with no other help of any kind… not even start-up cash. Want more proof? I did my own run, not as a part of his contest, just to see if anyone could do this.

Using his techniques it’s almost trivial to break 1k gold. (300k is a bit harder… 😉 .) I wrote it up on GotWarcraft: 30 Days to (over) 1k Gold

So maybe you’re asking…

“How can I get some?!”

Well now’s your chance!

Jon is running a new Gold Speed Run Challenge starting next week. And he’s inviting newbie speed runners to sign up for a preview video series that shows you exactly how to get the same kind of results in your own gold game. Get the videos here!

Speed Run FTW!

One more thing:  Jon is limiting the entries in this Speed Run to avoid overwhelming the auction house economy on any one Realm. Sign up for the preview video series, and you’ll be on the early bird list for first shot at a spot when the challenge opens up next week!

Tycoon Gold Addon Review

The Tycoon Gold Addon is a pretty sweet little tool. It’s intended to automate a lot of the gold making process and works well. It won’t post auctions or buy anything for you, but it will show you what to buy/gather/farm/make.  How much can you make?  The 30k per day, on the banner to the right, is… welllll… maybe if you’re really good and your server’s market is really good and all the stars align, just so

I’m using it four different servers and I can say that it’s a pretty nifty. I don’t know how you go about acquiring massive gold, but I think this is a tool that I’ll be using a lot. Check out my Tycoon gold addon review and see what you think.

Update 5/26/11: The WM product hasn’t been updated in awhile, so while it has some pretty useful stuff it has nothing for Cataclysm. The product that I’m currently using is the Tycoon gold addon. It does the farming/gathering/crafting stuff, like the other guide, but does it all in-game in the form of an addon. Wrap that around your Gnomish brain. The creators have also released an Auction House module, which looks pretty slick and will make some of us a pile of gold. If that seems like it’s for you then hit that banner to the right or see my Tycoon Gold Guide Review.

By the war, the Massive WoW Gold product mentioned in the comments is very good and is regularly updated for new Cata content. Tycoon is my toy of choice for the moment, though.

Warcraft Millionaire

Here’s the usual gold drill: Grind a few primals (or other items,) sell them off, and make upwards of a couple hundred gold an hour if you’re really good at it and there’s no competition. It’s about the same for the daily quests, plus you get the rep items. If you’re good at playing Auction House games you can double that.

Now consider for a moment what it takes to hit the gold cap: that limit being currently set at 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper, and once reached will prevent you from receiving any more cash. At 300 gold an hour that’s a measly 716 hours of pure gold making activity.

Brad, of Warcraft Millionaire, has hit that cap on four separate characters. I’d say he know his stuff and I’d say it took some time.

How was it that this guy had managed to do what is seemingly impossible when millions of other players have been at it for just as long and are nowhere close? You can see the video proof on his home page, which really drives the point home.

So how did he do it?

What has Brad done that very few, if any, have done before? What did see in the game that others had missed? His strategy must surely be superior, right?

It seems that Brad’s friends and fellow players have been asking the same question of him for some time and so, instead of constantly answering questions, he has put together a collection of resources at his website that promises to guide the casual or even hardcore player through the same process he used to reach the upper echelons of gold making.

The truth of the matter

is that it’s not some special secret, as you might think. The “secret”  is entirely in his understanding of how the WoW market works.  It’s all in the Auction House (AH.)

We all know that; we’ve been to the Auction House and we’ve seen what kind of gold it can provide, someone’s putting up all that stuff for sale, but none of us would have guessed that there was quite that much gold in it.

Want to learn how to do that, too?  Brad provides concise, well written advice on how to use the Auction House to make a lot of gold. I think that hitting the gold cap, four times, provides some serious credibility, don’t you?

While I won’t reach a million gold anytime soon, I definitely feel much more confident in my ability to make hundreds of gold on demand and pretty much all of it it with my low level bank alts. I’ve accumulated a nice little stash since Wrath went live:

A nice gold stash

A nice gold stash, taken on 3/18/09

Not Just the AH

Now, while the real gold is made at the auction house, and Brad emphasizes learning to use the AH, there are people who would, for whatever reason, rather do something else to earn their WoW cash. So, I’ll open up my copy of Warcraft Millionaire and note that, in addition to the Auction House domination guide, Brad includes the following:

  • All of the Daily Quests – listed, rated (1 to 5 stars,) with notes on the gold and the rep that you will earn, and linked to WoWdb.com for more info. Of course, you do need to be level 70+ to do these. All of the daily quest from Wrath of the Lich King, including the PvP quests, are also part of the list.
  • The Grinding Guide – Want to just mindlessly kill hordes of mobs and fill your bags with goodies? This is the guide for you. It includes where to find certain special items, grinding instances, various locations, and recommended addons to make you grinding easier (besides plugging a case of Mountain Dew into your brain.) Locations and infor are provided for all levels, 1-80. Brad hates the grind, I hate the grind, but if you’re Ok with it then this guide is for you.
  • A limited items listing – This is a big list of vendors who sell all sorts of limited items. General locations of the vendors are provided, but it would have been nice to see exact locations. For items found in Azeroth the list is sorted by specific item, who sells it, and how much you’ll pay. How much you can sell it for will depend on the economy of your particular server. The Outlands and Northrend listings list vendors by zone, plus the items they sell and the cost. Make a loop of these vendors, grab the items that are available as you hit them, ship them to your banker, and sell for a very nice profit.
  • 1-60,  60-70, and 71-80 gold guides – As you level you should keep an eye peeled for certain items and these two guides cover those items. You can make a lot of gold in the leveling process (beyond taking Herbalism and/or Mining) and these guides will show you what to look for. Naturally the best stuff requires higher level characters.
  • A special bonus, is the Warcraft Basics Guide, which covers the basics of the WoW economy, principles, gold making, questing, professions, etc. New players will find this guide to be very useful, experienced players can skim much of it, but will find some useful tips as well.

All Up to Date, Including WotLK

Since Millionaire is one of the newest gold guides it neatly cuts out one of the problems of the older guides, none of the info is out of date. You won’t find references to the level 60 cap or to items and mobs that are no longer in game or of value. It’s also updated for Wrath.

Note: There’s no mention, yet, on his homepage whether the guide will be updated for Cataclysm. I don’t think the techniques will change much, though the “places to find stuff” lists will probably change, big time. As of this writing there’s a lot of time for you to build your stash before the expansion hits.

You don’t have to have level 80 characters, either. In the video on the home page Brad notes that his level 1 bank alt does most of his trading, buying, and selling. Yes, it’s at the gold cap. You will also get an idea of what he buys and sells.

If you like to make all your gold by some form of farming, then having the high level characters certainly helps.

You won’t just be given a set of grinding locations either, though you do get those in addition to everything else. What you will get and learn is a set of techniques that will massively boost your gold stash.

Whether you are just starting or have conquered Northrend you’ll find something in here that fits what you want to do.

Just One Thing…

There is one section lacking:

While Brad includes a ton of stuff that will do wonderful things for your gold stash, he basically skips Inscription. That profession is what I used to make the bulk of the stash in the image above. Not a major oversight, though. Scan glyph prices (especially with the new dual talent builds) and use what you learn from the AH section of the guide and you’ll figure it out quickly.

You can snag your copy of Warcraft Millionaire here.

Update 8/8/2010:

I tweaked some of the info above, but my opinions haven’t changed, and I hit almost 250k on the above account (over a couple of characters. ) WM is a good guide that covers a lot of areas for making a lot more gold. I assume that the author will keep updating it, otherwise a lot of info will become dated with the Cataclysm release. It has been updated since the above review was written.

Also, keep in mind that hitting the cap is going to take some work. It’s one thing if you want to have 10-20k gold in your pouch, it’s another to have 200k+ (and it’s really nice being able to drop 10k on an item without even blinking.)

So this guide is really good for the person who wants to play the gold game, though the casual player will also make a lot more than otherwise.

Take a look at Warcraft Millionaire here.

Update 7/15/2012: I did a speed run, using these methods, sometime back. Brand new characters, brand new server, no friends, guilds, transfers, gold buying, etc. I made over 6k gold in 30 days without trying too hard. Since the entire guide is in video format it should be easy for anyone to learn the techniques and do the same. Or better. Currently I’m doing over 5k gold per day. That’s mostly through crafting, but I still use these techniques and when starting on a new server I still use them extensively.

The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint, by Jon Kenins, is probably the best guide on the market to making a ton of gold in the World of Warcraft.

Well so what?? There are a number of them out there, aren’t there? Yes, there are, but there are a couple of very interesting differences with the Gold Blueprint:

  1. Most guides tell you to farm this, and grind that. The Blueprint does zero farming, and zero grinding. You will never have to visit the Elemental Plateau again (unless youi want to, for some reason) and, in fact, you will never have to use your high level characters to farm anything. Everything in the Blueprint is done with characters under level 10.
  2. Most guides are either printed up on websites (such as the forums) or as Adobe PDFs. The Massive Gold Blueprint is done entirely with video and the videos are better than what you will find on YouTube.)

Jon is confident enough in what he is teaching that he states, right up front,  I’ll show you how to get 1,000 Gold in 30 days (starting from 0 on a new server.) No 70s, no buying gold, no begging, no borrowing from the guild. From scratch with brand new, level 1 characters.

So How Does This Work?

First, some background: Typically one line of advice given (and I’ve given it) to get the gold is to get the skinning, mining, or herbalism) skills and work them as you level up. Skins and ores, and especially herbs right now, of pretty much any level, sell quite nicely. Ok, yawn, you’ve heard those before. That’s my point.

Of course, there’s also a number of good farming opportunities in the Outlands which can yield upwards of 1-200 gold per hour. Of course most of us would rather be raiding, PvPing, or having fun rather than mindless grinding.

Additionally the level 70 crowd can do the various daily quests, each of which which pays 5 to 20 gold, plus some quest rewards and whatever items are collected on the way. If you’re efficient with your dailies you can easily make over 100 gold per hour. Heroic dungeons, open only to 70s, are also good sources of loot.

But wouldn’t it be nice to use your mains for the fun stuff and not have to use them for farming? Wouldn’t it be better to use your low level “alts” for the gold making instead?

I think so. Far beyond a PDF collection of tips on grinding locations, The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint is a set of videos and audios that takes you on a step by step route from getting started to Auction House Mastery.

Every tip is covered with a video that shows you exactly how it’s done. Even if you’re brand new, with no character over level 1, on a new server, and don’t know Stormwind from Karazhan. In fact, here are some example videos.

This quote from Jon on the Blueprint Home Page nicely sums up the whole Blueprint system:

Here’s what I discovered (referring to gold gathering.) Once you have a good handle on playing the Auction House, you can make TWICE AS MUCH Gold per hour by simply sitting in the Auction House buying and selling goods, compared to any other activity you can think of in WoW. Twice as much!

That was an eye opener for me. But that’s not all. I also discovered that the most efficient way to play the Auction House is to dedicate a team of characters specifically to auction activities. You actually LOSE money by trying to work your established higher-level toons into the mix.

I’m not talking about a single “mule” character that you park in Ironforge or Orgrimmar. I’ve tested and tweaked my way to an optimal set-up of six alt characters, stationed in specific locations where they become the backbone of a system of “Profit Pipelines” . . . an underground system that works like crazy

And the punchline:

Nowadays, I spend 1 – 2 hours per day on Gold-making activities in the Auction Houses on the two servers I play regularly. I make a comfortable 5,000 Gold per week. I know I could make five times as much if I were willing to put in 8 hours a day at the Auction House. But what would be the point?

5,000 Gold a Week for 1 to 2 Hours per Day

So is this really possible? Absolutely. I’ve been using these techniques to great effect and when you read the Blueprint forums you’ll find lots more people also getting great results. You’ll also find additional tips.

Most people will find 1-2,000 gold a week to be easy, 5k a week will take a bit of practice, and some, who put in the time, will do quite a bit more.

The weak spot? Well, the one weak spot, if you could call it that, is that there’s a bit of a learning curve. There’s no grind here, looking for that magic bullet that will make you rich. You won’t be given the secret location to the special item which sells for 5k gold (it’d be nice if there was such a thing, wouldn’t it?) You’ll have to spend the time to watch the videos and run some characters around. Hard work, right? 😉

You’ll also have to use a couple of character slots to build your network, but do you really have that many main characters?

Now some people, who haven’t a clue, will tell you that to make gold you need to do your dailies (decent gold, but you need a 70) or, if you’re low level, to gather this or that (eg: linen cloth) and sell it. That works, but it should only be a start. The Blueprint will end the need for using your mains to dig for rocks.

Sacking Stormwind/Orgrimmar

The problem with using your mains for endless gathering is that you’re not using them for the fun stuff, ie: PvP, Raids, sacking Stormwind/Orgrimmar, etc.

Blueprint step 1 is easy enough (none of the steps are as hard as farming primals.) You’re going to make a level 1 toon and run it straight the closest capital city. This character will not level and will, in fact, do nothing except handle all the buying and selling chores for your mains and your network.

Step two is to get a cash flow started, so you’ll make a second character who will do the gathering. Gather up a few stacks of ores, skins, or herbs (or even fish) and send them to your mule to sell.

Nest, you’ll dive into buying, trading, cross-factions, and obtain expertise with the Auction House. You’ll spin those first few coins into enough gold to buy your Epic Flying Mount (6,000 gold with the training) out of petty cash.

WoW Gold StashHere’s a screenshot of my Alliance Stormwind mule (Auction House Banker.) I don’t have any characters over 35 (as of this writing) on that server and the only grinding I do is incidental skinning and mining.

Not a bad total. All from using only some of the techniques of the blueprint. No cross-faction trading and not much of a network. So if a person can do this using only a few techniques, what could one do by following the whole blueprint?

And yes, that Epic Flying Mount will be petty cash (when I get that character to 70) along with some pretty decent twinkage (getting the hot gear and enchants to extract every last bit of power from a character.)

Here’s What You Get

Once you have your Blueprint you’ll login to the site and access four modules, each intended to take a week (about an hour or two a day of game time,) but it’ll be a lot less if you have more time and/or are already clued into how the game works. Dozens of videos are broken up into the following sections:

Update: In preparation for the Wrath of the Lich King Jon has updated the Blueprint to cover Cashing in on Herbs and Inscription.

  1. Week one – The basics are covered. You’ll get your characters and network up and running, you’ll learn how to use the auction house, and you’ll get started with your initial gold generation.
  2. Week two – You’ll move into higher gear with the Auction House. You’ll learn about buying and selling specific items and you’ll learn about certain market niches, in-depth. Also covered are AH Best Practices and common AH mistakes.
  3. Week Three – Now that you’ve got some real gold flowing you’ll be working with higher-priced items and get the in-depth scoop on working with those items. Plus more best practices and worst mistakes, finding cross-faction trading opportunities, as swell as keeping notes and lists.
  4. Week Four – You will start realizing the full potential of the Massive Gold Blueprint method. You will establish a set of lucrative Profit Pipelines that you can work through fast when you log in each day to make even more gold. In-depth on more expensive and exotic items. You will achieve full Auction House mastery.

Yeah, Right…

Of course, the first thing some people will say is something like this, “Bah, that’s easy. I can do 1k gold in a day or two.”

Sure you can. But can you do that when none of your toons is over level 10? When you don’t have a guild or high level character donating cash to your characters? In other words, starting from scratch on a new server? Can you earn 1000 gold in 30 days, starting from zero?

How’s this? To prove it’s possible, Jon came up with the “30 Day Speed Run to 1,000 Gold.” He gives every last detail, including what good he obtained and how he sold them. By the way, he made a lot more than 1,000 gold and you get all the notes from that speed run when you grab the Blueprint.

This is what it looks like when you log in:

Massive WoW Gold Members Area

Note that I am a full member. The video is a guide to using the site and getting the most out of it, also available as a PDF. Tthe items in the menu at the top of the page will let you bring up any of the over one hundred of the videos on the site (and the site is constantly updated with new stuff.)

There’s also a forum with a lot of additional info and tips.

Ok, This Looks Good

  • Over 68 videos covering every aspect of the system plus bonus videos (such as Inscription gold) as they are created.
  • 7+ hours of audio with more info and questions answered (questions that were submitted by Blueprint users.)
  • Blow by blow detail of the 30 day run to 1,000 gold
  • A system that will work for you even if you’re brand new to the game, are starting over on a new server and have no levels and no connections, and that will even work if you have several level 70s.
  • Full money back guarantee, but if you follow the system it’ll be hard not to make lots of gold. This means that there’s no risk for you.

To sum it up – If you’re the player who’d like to have a lot more WoW gold and either doesn’t have high level characters or would like to use them for something other than farming gold, then hop over to the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint and join us on the inside, right now.

Jun 262008

I was running someone from my guild through RageFire Chasm (in Orgrimmar) the other day with my (70) Rogue. I was letting him loot everything and at some point he mentioned that he really needed the money (lev 12 Priest.)

So I had him back up and I handed him 50g.

Which seemed to blow his mind. I told him that gold was easy, which blew his mind further. Well, once you get a character or two past level 5 or so, gold is easy.

Now, I’m not talking rapidly earning thousands here, with starting characters. It’s perfectly reasonable for 70s to have that, after all, who do you think is buying all those Epic Flying Mounts at 6k (for mount and training?) Not to mention Epic items in the auction house for 1-2k each or enchants which cost 600 to 1000g for the mats.

But it’s also reasonable for very low level characters to have a lot more gold at hand. So here’s a getting started gold guide for those who aren’t already 70, and for a few that are. This isn’t specific to Alliance or Horde either.

Getting started

First off, you’re going to level one character to 5, train basic Enchanting at the city trainer, and then run that character to the Auction House in whichever capital city is closest.

This will be your permanent Auction House banker (or mule.) This character will spend 100% of it’s time at the AH and will handle ALL of the buying and selling for all your other characters. You won’t be leveling this character past 5, so don’t worry about the perfect name or look, but please don’t name it “MoneyBags” or anything like that.

By the way, having a separate character to do all your buying and selling will have the additional benefits of not forcing your friends, enemies, and teammates to wait for you while you browse and sell at the AH.

Main Characters

Your main characters, throughout their entire careers, will take any and all sellable items they find, either by looting or gathering, and will mail all of these to the mule, to be sold on the AH.

Yes, this includes teeth. Sell grey items to vendors, everything else goes to the mule and the AH, with the exception of stuff your main will be using (eg: cloth for 1st aid, good weapon drops, etc.)

Your mains will never set foot in the AH, unless looking for specific items to upgrade.

For your main character(s) get skinning and mining as your primary professions and cooking, fishing, and 1st aid as your secondaries. Why not herbalism? You can certainly take that one, if you like, but ores and skins are always in high demand, far more so than herbs in my opinion. That said, there are some higher level herbs that sell for lots, so it’s your call.

Skip the other professions for now. They’re cool and fun and very expensive to level up. Right now we want to get some cash flow.

Generally you can find a trainer for one of these gathering skills at the first town you hit when leaving the starting area. You’ll probably have to hit the capital city for the others.

Sell everything as you level up to at least 5. As soon as you leave the newb area, and hopefully have a few silver to your name, head to the city and get at least the mining and skinning skills. Make sure to get your skinning knife and pick, as well.

The Process to Gaining the Gold

Skin every skinnable critter you kill. Keep the ruined scraps of leather, as well as the light leather. When you get a stack of 20, or a few stacks, send them to your mule. Light leather goes anywhere from 75s to 3g a stack, depending on your server and how much is on the AH at any one time.

Tip – ruined scraps do sell, sometimes for more than you might think. If you’re a leatherworker save them, and if the scraps are dirt cheap, buy them, and make them into light leather, then make your items. You might save some gold this way.

So why continue skinning if light leather is only 75 silver a stack? When you get to Outlands you’ll eventually be skinning Clefthoofs. Those leathers sell for several gold per piece. There are some other skins that sell for even more.

In your 50s you’ll be seeing thick leather and rugged leather, both of which which sell very nicely for a nice price.

Mining and Herbalism – At the top left of your mini-map is a round gadget that will let you scan for all sorts of things, ores and herbs among them. Set it to scan for minerals or plants (depending on which you have) and these items will appear on your mini-map, making them much easier to gather.

If you’re a Hunter these marks will look just like the neutral beasts you see when tracking beasts, so you’ll have to turn off beast tracking or be a bit more alert.

Then, if you’re not a Night Elf, do the rounds of your low level (5-10ish) zone and start gathering. Look for ores around the hills and mountains and sometimes underwater. Gather stacks and stacks and sell them.

The Night Elf Gods seem to have forgotten to put any ores into Teldrassil, so NEs will have to head over to Darkshore to get any mining done. Darkshore has plenty, but you’ll have to be higher level.

You’ll need a 65 skill to move past copper to Tin ore, and 125 for Iron, so keep your skill as high as possible.

Enchanting – As you level up you will come across the occasional green item that you can’t use and that won’t sell very well (some of these greens do sell well, so try to be aware of that.) The worthless green items are sent to your mule to disenchant into parts (such as strange dust, etc.)

Generally, the parts that you’ll create through disenchanting sell very well.

Cooking and fishing – Learn to cook and you’ll save a bunch of cash by not buying food. Plus, many of the items you cook up will provide nice buffs and those items sell quite well for a good price.

Fishing is a source of raw materials to level up your cooking, a source of food for Hunter pets (those that eat meat, anyway,) and a source of gold by itself. Oily Blackmouth, Firefin Snapper, and other fish sell quite nicely.

Some tools to use:

  • Gatherer – This addon will mark your map as you find any gatherable item: ores, herbs, etc. You can also import a database of gatherable items which will make your starting path much easier
  • Auctioneer – This addon will collect all kinds of data on the Auction House. Eventually it will help you to make very educated guesses as to what to sell your stuff for.

Tips

So how much to sell it (ores, skins) for? Browse the AH for whatever you’re selling, copper ore, for example. You’ll see ore for sale in stack sizes from 1 to 20. I like to look at the first few few stacks of 20 and price it right in the middle.

Typically people buy lots of ore at one time, to level whichever profession they’re working on, so they’ll buy everything at whatever they consider to be a decent price. This means that you don’t have to undersell the competition by much, if any.

It’s ok if you do, though. Someone like me might buy up your under-priced stuff and resell it for a profit. I just think that you might want to keep that money for yourself.

It’s pretty much the same thing with herbs and enchanting bits.

As an example: Zognits, the level 70 warrior, might decide it’s time to level Blacksmithing. So he’ll buy a ton of ore of various sorts and go from skill 1 to 300 in a few hours (and spend a lot of gold doing it.)

Johniejohn, the level 63.5 leatherworker might decide to do the same, so might buy 100-300 pieces of light leather in one shot.

Big bags – always get the biggest bags you can afford. It won’t be much to start with, but you’ll have the cash sooner or later and you can get them at that time.

A recommendation – There are a lot of ways to get the gold, some of which I’ll be writing about in later posts. One thing that got me going was just breaking down and buying a gold guide. You get a ton of step by step gold making tips that will get you into that Epic Flying Mount and expensive enchants when the time comes.

In my opinion the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint is far and away the best gold guide out there. Why? Not only does he hold nothing back, every last step is done with videos, and it’s a system where you can start rapidly accumulating gold with very low level characters. It does cost more than the others, but you get a lot more workable info, especially if you don’t already have a level 70 character.

For example, this character is level 5. None of my characters on this server is over level 30. Kind of a nice stash there. Click the image for a bigger picture.

Massive WoW Gold Blueprint Launch is Coming to a Close

If you are considering the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint then you should think about getting it now. On the 2nd of June three things will happen:

  1. The price goes up by $30
  2. The Invite to Gold Speed Run 2 goes away. That run should be starting in a couple of days. You also won’t get the detailed logs from Gold Speed Run 1.
  3. The access to the four Q&A calls goes away

It’ll still be a very worthwhile package to pick up, as it completely blows away everythng else out there, but if you grab it now then you get the discount and the extra goodies.

Most of the other guides are PDFs, which is fine, and one of those PDFs is mostly screenshots, which isn’t. The Blueprint is a series of videos which walk you through every step of setting up your gold machine.

Consisting of four modules, each covering a week, the blueprint will teach you everything you need, regardless of whether you’ve been playing WoW since beta, like my boys, or started yesterday. For example, week 1 consists of 21 videos, including three videos for installing and managing addons (you’ll find these addons make the gold game much easier.)

If you’ve looked at the videos in the previous posts then you know the quality of the videos in the guide. They’re similar, but longer and go into more detail and there’s a lot more of them.

I’ve always enjoyed the gold game and have managed to obtain quite a bit on my WoW characters and those of other MMOs that I’ve played. I’m going through this blueprint and am taking notes, because I think it’s going to make the gold game much easier and faster to play.

I think that if you follow this guide then by the time you get to 70 you’ll be buying that Epic Flying Mount (costs 6k with the training) out of petty cash. You’ll have lots left over to put these expensive enchants on your epic weapons, too. I know, the enchants are cheap, it’s the materials that are expensive.

So click through here and you’ll see what it’s all about. Then look through the previous posts to see some of the sample videos.

edit 6/1/08: I emailed Jon and I need to correct something. The fast action bonuses are going away on Monday the 2nd, probably in the evening. The price will increase, but it might not happen on Monday. So if you want access to speed runs 1 & 2, act before Mon eve. If you want the discount, you might have a few extra days. I don’t know exactly when the price will increase, but it will happen. Probably no more than a week from now.

The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint Goes Live Tuesday

The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint is scheduled to launch at 12 noon (PST) on Tuesday, the 27th. If you need to convert that to your time, anywhere in the world, then go here.

What you need to do if you want to get in on the launch is click through and join the notification list. That way you’ll get notice as soon as this puppy goes live. While you’re at it, watch the videos (links below.)

Why hop on the launch as early as possible?

  1. You’ll get started building your gold stash before those who don’t
  2. You’ll get a pile of bonuses for buying early, including
    • Access to all the info for the Gold Speed Run 2 – this is where Jon builds new characters on a new server and earns at least 1000 gold in 30 days. No 70s to help out, no generous guilds, no sugar daddies.
    • Four Q&A sessions, only available to people who buy in early, where Jon will answer any and all questions about WoW gold and the Blueprint.
    • The logbook from Gold Speed Run #1 – with all the details on how he already did the speed run… what he bought, where he went, how he did it.
    • And there’s more
  3. You’ll save $30 over the final price. Yep, he’s going to increase the price after June 1.

So what’s in this thing? This Massive WoW Gold Blueprint?
For starters, it’s a series of modules designed to teach you how to set up your gold creation network of characters. The blueprint will walk you step by step, with videos and PDFs, through every step of setting up your gold machine.

He does recommend doing this on a non-PvP server, for the simple reason that you can have characters on both sides, Alliance and Horde. This makes it easier to do cross-faction buying and selling. If you’re on a PvP server, like all of my characters, then you can still work the blueprint, but you won’t be doing the cross-faction work unless you have two accounts.

In addition, everything is accessible to the brand new WoW player. Don’t know Stormwind from a hole in the ground? He’ll tell you everything you need to cash in on Stormwind, including how to get there from the starting area. (All the experienced Ally players now groan…)

Instead of giving advice like. “Use Auctioneer to play the Auction House…” he’ll give you a set of videos which will show you exactly, step by step, how to do that.

Never had more than a few gold to your character’s name? The Gold Blueprint will fix that. Brand new to the game and don’t know where to go? The Blueprint is for you.

No matter what level you are you’ll learn a path to getting all the gold that your characters will be able to use. The speed runs were all started with level 1 characters.

So check it out and get all the gold your characters will ever need.

The Massive WoW Gold Blueprint is a step by step guide to putting massive amounts of World of Warcraft Gold into your account. It will come out in a few days and will include videos, PDFs, how to, why to, and where to in order to amass this gold.

And no, you don’t need to be level 70.

Do you need a copy? Enough to try to convince Jonathan Kinens that you do? Well, you have your chance. He’s announced that he’s running a contest and the winner gets a free copy of the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint. Actually, there will be two winners and each of them will get a copy. It could be you.

Here’s how it works. Click through to any of the links below and watch the videos, if you haven’t already. That way you’ll learn what the Blueprint is all about. Then click through to the blog, find the contest post, and leave a comment telling Jon just why you are the one who most deserves to win.

So why are you still here?

Well, actually it’s the whistles…

Video #3 from the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint gives you another technique to make a nice sum of cash, even if you’re level one. You do have to have access to the Horde though, so if you’re alliance on a PvP server you won’t be able to do this.

Looking for the gold to buy that Epic Flying mount or that nice purple weapon in the Auction House? It can be done.

I bought my EFM shortly after hitting 70 (6k gold with the training(!)) just by following some of the tips in Valkor’s Gold Guide. That’s in addition to various pieces of gear that dropped off the auction house.

Basically, making gold in WoW isn’t at all hard. Boil it all down and what you do is:

  1. Sell items to vendors
  2. Sell items to players (directly or through the AH)
  3. Do quests, but that’s only interesting as you approach 70.

The trick is in finding which items sell well and/or where to buy them cheap and then sell them for an arm and a leg.

There’s a new guide coming out, the Massive WoW Gold Blueprint, which I think will totally blow away the rest of the gold guides out there. One of the things that’s really cool is the free stuff he’s giving away.

Check out the free video’s he’s offering and see if you can make some gold with the tips he’s offering in that video (I did.) Then check his blog for more videos and more tips. You’ll get even more if you sign up for his notification list.
