I’ve posted an article the the GotWarcraft blog on the Top Three Rogue PvP Tips.

1 -  Know how to re-stealth
If you can’t re-stealth in combat, you are drastically reducing your survivability. The main techniques for acheiving this are to
  1. blind and wait to leave combat
  2. gouge/kidney shot your oppenent and run out
  3. get your oppenent crippled and sprint away
  4. vanish

Here’s the rest: Top 3 Rogue PvP Tips

Death Knight PvP at level 80, from the beta. Siege Vehicles! ’nuff said.

I haven’t started a DK yet. Yeah, I know, I’m bad. I did play one for awhile in the beta and I’m looking forward to it, but I think I’m going to get my Rogue up to 80, first. I haven’t had much time to play recently and I’m only level 73.

So. DKs and PvP. What do you think of them as they stand, now?

Are they the overall destruction machine of choice? Or strong against casters and Ok against others? Or…? Are they the Gankers or the Gankees?

For the one or two of you (like me) who haven’t started your Death Knight yet and want a leg up, the free leveling guide to the DK starter area is still up.

As always, keep in mind that very little of this is final. Finality won’t be reached until the actual game is in our greedy little hands.

One of the many additions, for all you Arena fans out there, that’s coming to WoW with The Wrath of the Lich King expansion is the new Orgrimmar arena.

Spooncraft has a video which shows of some pretty interesting features of this particular arena.

Holy crap am I excited about Arenas!? YES I AM! This would be a first for a long time, but I think Blizzard has just made arenas fun for me. I figure if they’re going to turn the PVP game into an FPS Team Deathmatch, then at least make the maps fun to play.

Looking around my blog list I came across a couple of interesting PvP posts that I thought you might like to see.

This first one is arena based, but I think it could be easily used elsewhere, in the unlikely event that you can find cooperative players in the BGs. Since my main is a Rogue i particularly liked this one.

Rogue / Rogue vs. Druid / Rogue is no easy match, typically any team with a druid is going to be a tough match for a double rogue team. That said, using systemic decision making and quick reflexes we can learn how to effectively counter these 2v2 teams.

Gnomes. There’s just something disturbing about them. Must be the remnants of the radiation poisoning. It is rather interesting how those Tauren mallets are just the right size…  Anyway, here’s a fun story of the Hunter and the Gnome Rogue.

The Tauren Hunter was merrily bounding into the Silverwing base in Warsong Gulch; she had been enjoying these player-verses-player excursions lately and was rather fond of her 25,000 honor that she had stockpiled for when she would hit 70 in a couple more levels and would need a nice set of war gear to go with her set of standard adventuring gear. She made it to the roof of the enemy building when suddenly she was jumped upon! By a very persistent gnome rogue.

Rogue’s Eye View has something which some of you know about already, but maybe a few don’t. Hope into your very own premade level 80, then go kill the other 80s!

To those that don’t know, earlier this week it was announced that level 80 premades are available to players in the beta test.

In order to copy over a premade character, you’ll need to log into your account at beta.worldofwarcraft.com and make your way to the character copy section.

Well, I do. Now this guys says he does, but I have my doubts. Check out this killer video on Rogue’s Eye View: Rogue Movie Weekend: I Suck At PvP

By the way, the hero of the movie is a Frost Mage, not a Rogue.

WoW Insider has a fun post on the Great Dwarf Hunter Nesingwary, seen in Stranglethorn Vale and Nagrand. Nesie, of course, is all about hunting the various beasts in the area.

Now one could argue that he’s just thinning herds that grow impossibly fast or maybe he’s just a minion of evil with his wanton slaughter of innocent raptors, er… critters.

The Wrath expansion seems to be bringing in some competition for Nesie:

But that, of course, doesn’t keep the hippie animal lovers from fighting back — as you might know by now, in the expansion Nesingwary is going to face some opposition in the form of D.E.H.T.A., or Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals.

Here’s the post: Nesingwary’s extinction plan (hasn’t worked)

Now let’s say that Nesie gets tired of these guys. Imagine one part of the quest chain being to harass (ie: kill) DEHTA members: “Ok dude, it’s a Druid. Get 15 of your closest friends…”

Or that the DEHTA crowd gets a quest to harass (ie: kill) Nesie’s hunters.

I’m not saying that this will happen, or is even likely, but it’s fun to think about. Especially on an RP (Role Playing) PvP server.

Anyone have any other suggestions to spice this up a bit?

Having played a few too many [tag-tec]Warsong Gulch[/tag-tec] Battlegrounds (BGs) recently I though this was pretty funny (I play Horde.) Ah, if only Horde was really like that!

Credit where credit is due, I found this on WoW Insider.

Oh, don’t watch if you’re alliance. ;)

Planning? Horde makes plans? There’s a planning phase?

Premades FTW!

The flag carrier isn’t supposed to engage all opposition while carrying the flag? Who would have thought?

Isn’t WSG just everyone’s favorite BG?

Played a few [tag-tec]Arathi Basin[/tag-tec] Battleground games last night. Won a couple, lost a couple, and won one in about 2 minutes.

It seems that the Ally side had come in with a premade group, looking to lose! This was a new one to me, though I’m sure you’ve seen it before. (A premade is a team formed before the game starts, generally running Ventrilo, and with an addon that allows them to join as a team.)

The idea is to get in, lose as quickly as possible, get the mark and get out. Rinse and repeat. I was told that they could get maybe 12 marks an hour that way. 2.5 hours or so and you have enough for a piece of gear. Horde side won that game in two minutes.

As for me, I find honor points harder to come by than marks. Only need 30 marks for that chest piece, but 14,500 honor points. 483.3 honor per mark. Hmmm…

I’ll also take that two minute win!

Hopefully this clown is in another battlegroup or, better yet, on the side that I’m fighting against!

The song, “In the Year 2525″ is one of my all time favorites. It was very nice to hear it again.
